AIB Condemns Satellite Jamming by Ethiopia

Earlier this month, Liliane Landor, acting Director of the BBC World Service Group, has joined directors from Deutsche Welle, France 24, and the US Broadcasting Board of Directors which oversees the Voice of America, in condemning Ethiopia for intentional jamming of the satellite broadcasts

THE Association for International Broadcasting (AIB) has condemned the authorities in Ethiopia who are carrying out jamming of satellites operated by Arabsat and Eutelsat.

Programming from a range of regional and international broadcasters has been affected by jamming that technical research shows emanates from the territory of Ethiopia.

The jamming has affected AIB Members including the BBC, Deutsche Welle (DW), France 24 and Voice of America (VOA), as well as a number of other channels from the Middle East and North America.  Continue reading AIB Condemns Satellite Jamming by Ethiopia
