Best friends, best doctors. An inspirational story of two exemplary friends who met at Sawa military academy, join College together to study Medicine and later became Medical Doctors.

Two young Eritrean doctors, Dr. Askalu and Dr. Jemila, are an exemplary friends who met in Sawa. Coming from different places of Eritrea, once they met to attend their 12th grade and do National Service in Sawa, they established a strong friendship.

36 Medical Doctors Graduate from Orotta School of Medicine

The incremental impact of these annual addition of young and qualified medical doctors to the overall coverage of medical services in Eritrea is paramount.

This is the 7th Commencement for Orotta School of Medicine and Dentistry (OSMD). Since its first commencement in 2009, OSMD graduated a total of 243 doctors in General Medicine and 20 in Dentistry.

In its 7th Commencement the Orotta School of Medicine and Dentistry graduated 36 doctors on 14 January following 8 years of education in General Medicine.

Orotta School of Medicine Graduates 57 Medical Doctors

Orotta School of Medicine and Dentistry held its 5th Commencement today graduating 32 medical doctors, 22 Dentists and 3 specialists in Pediatrics

OROTTA School of Medicine and Dentistry today graduated a total of 57 Medical Doctors. During the fifth commencement, 32 Doctors graduated in Medicine and 22 others in Dentistry, while the remaining 3 graduated in Pediatrics and Child Health.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Ms. Amina Nur-Husien, Minister of Health, pointed out that persistent endeavors are being exerted with a view to ensuring effective and quality health services along with developing human resource capacity.
