A renewed attack in Chinaksan district of Oromia by the Somali regional police (aka Liyu police) have left at least 4 people killed, 250 houses burned and hundreds of civilians displaced.

At least four people were killed and five others wounded in renewed cross-border attacks this week by the Ethiopian Somali State Liyu Police in Oromia’s East Hararghe zone. Conflict in Eastern Ethiopia Leaves Dozens Dead

Fighting between Ethiopian Somali and Oromo ethnic groups in the eastern Ethiopia left more than 30 people dead

Intense fighting between the Ethiopian Somali and the Oromo ethnic groups in the eastern Ethiopia has left “more than 30 people”, including “more than a dozen army members”, dead and several others injured, Addis Standard learned.

According to three residents of Mieso town, west Hararghe zone, who contacted Addis Standard late this evening, today’s fighting in and around the town was between several members of local residents and heavily armed members of the “Liyu Police”.
