Half Marathon record holder Zersenay Tadese of Eritrea has joined Britain’s Mo Farah and Kenya’s reigning champion Geoffrey Kamworor in an elite field for the world championships in Cardiff on March 26.

Half Marathon record holder Zersenay Tadese of Eritrea has joined Britain’s Mo Farah and Kenya’s reigning champion Geoffrey Kamworor in an elite field for the world championships in Cardiff on March 26.

Nguse Amlosom Wins Rock’n’Roll Half Marathon in Lisbon

The 2015 Rock’n’Roll Lisbon Half Marathon in Lisbon winner, Eritrean Nguse Amlosom

African 10,000m champion, Eritrean Nguse Amlosom, today won the Rock’n’Roll Half Marathon in Lisbon with a time of 1:02:38, just one second ahead of Ethiopian record-holder Tsegay. Kenyan Alex Oloitiptit made it to the podium taking third in 1:02:44, only 23 seconds in front of compatriot Serem.

Zersenay and Hizkel Sweep Half Marathon Gold and Bronze

Eritrean athletes Zersenay Tadese and Hizkel Tewolde today clinched Gold and Bronze medals in the Men’s Half Marathon race in Brazzaville while fellow athelete Samson Gebreyohans finished 4th.

Zersenay ran 1:03:11 to beat Kenyan favorite Luka Kanda.

Merhawi Kesete Wins Usti nad Labem Half Marathon

Eritrea’s Merhawi Kesete winning the Mattoni Usti nad Labem Half Marathon in 1:00:58. The award also includes a brand new 2015 Volkswagen sedan car.

ERITREA’s Ghirmay Ghebreselassie won the Göteborgsvavet Half Marathon 2014 in Gothenburg, Sweden on Saturday after finishing third place during the same event in 2013.

Five-time World Half Marathon Champion Vying for Sixth

Two weeks to go to Copenhagen.Eritrean athlet Zersenay Tadese will make history by winning the half-marathon for 6th times

Five-time winner Zersenay Tadese has revealed he will be vying for an unprecedented sixth individual gold medal. Without doubt the most successful athlete in the history of the event, the Eritrean is the reigning champion. He also holds the championship record of 58:59, set in 2007 in Udine in a race that remains one of the greatest ever half marathons in terms of depth.

Tadese’s first victory came in 2006 when the event went through a slight change in format and name.
