President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi welcomed Tuesday morning his Eritrean Counterpart Isaias Afwerki at the presidential palace in Cairo, where the latter is visiting the country to discuss bilateral relations.
The welcoming ceremony of the Eritrean president saw the presence of the Egyptian guard of honor, while the national anthems of both countries were played at the background.

The claim by the Ethiopian regime that the relation between Eritrea and Egypt is targeting Ethiopia’s Renaissance dam is “unfounded and stems from an unhealthy mindset,” Eritrea’s President said over the weekend.
President Isaias Afeworki was responding to Ethiopian regime’s accusations that Eritrea is posed to destabilize Ethiopia and stall the building of its mega hydroelectric dam.

Egyptian Embassy in Asmara received an Egyptian delegation from Agriculture Ministry led by farms project executive director Maher Abdel Moneim.
In a press release on Sunday, the Foreign Ministry said the delegation met with Eritrean Agriculture Ministry’s general director and heads of poultry and researches’ departments to discuss means of fostering bilateral relations in agriculture field.

ERITREA is taking part at the 46th Cairo International Book Fair by presenting over 100 historical, political, cultural and literary subject books.
The Fair that was opened on January 28 by Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahleb is expected to run through February 12.
There are over 26 countries participating at this year’s Book Fair in Cairo to make their books and other printed materials known to the Egyptian People, who are among the largest per capita Book purchasers in the world.
