IRAN has reached out to thousands of orphaned children in the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa, most of them suffering from HIV/AIDS, by offering them clothes, Press TV reports.

Iran is currently reaching out to these children by providing them with clothes, the report added.

The report said that since there are no orphanages to accommodate all the thousands of vulnerable children in Addis Ababa, some have resorted to fending for themselves in the streets while others are lucky enough to be taken up by different government bureaus.

According to the Iranian government, reaching out to these needy children is an indication of its sincere intention to cement further cooperation with Ethiopia in industry, science and technology as well as cultural activities, the report said.
