A gentle wind rustled across the otherwise azure sky over Asmara International Airport as a solitary Boeing 727 dipped low on the horizon and then gently touched down.

Annual EPI Managers Meeting Opened in Asmara

“Eritrea’s expanded program on Immunization is already a robust one and among the best in the region” – Ms. Susan Ngongi, UN Resident/Humanitarian Coordinator, UNDP Resident Representative to Eritrea.

Over 200 participants from over 20 countries are participating in the annual WHO / UNICEF EPI (Expanded Program for Immunization) managers’ meeting for East and Southern African countries (ESA) here in the capital Asmara.

A three-day annual conference of East and Southern African countries EPI (Expanded Program for Immunization) Managers opened today, 18 March at Asmara Palace Hotel.
