Israel Moves to Shut Down Al Jazeera, Accused of ‘Incitement’

“Freedom of expression is not freedom to incite … Democracy has limits … and what being broadcast on that channel is frankly dangerous and are unacceptable.”

Israel has announced plans to close the local offices of Al-Jazeera after accusing the broadcaster of bias and inciting violence against the Jewish state.

Israel plans to revoke the media credentials of Al Jazeera TV journalists, close its Jerusalem bureau and pull the Qatar-based station’s broadcasts from local cable and satellite providers, Communications Minister Ayoub Kara said on Sunday.
