Eritrea bagged all three points condemning Burundi to their second loss of the tournament leaving their hopes of progressing to the semi-finals hanging by a thread.
Eritrea got their CECAFA Senior Challenge cup campaign onto a flyer, after picking up a 1-0 victory over Burundi in their group A encounter.
What was on paper a fixture tilted in Burundi’s favor, turned out to be by far the most one sided game of the tournament, as Eritrea were dominant and relentless over their opponents.

Council for East and Central Africa Football Association [CECAFA] will host it’s first ever Under-15 regional tournament in Eritrea.
The move is meant to develop the region’s capacity at this level according to Football Kenya Federation (FKF) president Nick Mwendwa.

Defending champions Uganda Cranes powered into the quarter-finals of the GOtv Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup after a well earned 3-0 win over Eritrea at the City Stadium on Monday.
Gor Mahia striker Danny Sserunkuma provided a great performance for the Cranes, being involved in all the three goals. The Cranes sought to bury the match as early as possible and it only took them nine minutes to grab the first goal.
