By Olimpiazzurra.com,

As is the case for several years now, Eritrea has confirmed its absolute dominance of cycling in African by winning all the three gold medals up for grabs at the 9th Continental Championships in the elite category.

First came the gold in the team time trial, then the one in the individual time trial for Daniel Teklehaimanot, which preceded by the South African Willie Smit and Johannes Christoffel (gold and silver in front of the Algerian U23 Barbarians Adel ), and finally the success in the road race thanks to Tesfom Okubamariam .

The 22 year old Tesfom Okbamariam was forced to sprint to three on the Namibian Dan Craven and on the Eritrean Kudus Merhawi. Note that the same Okubamariam won in this way also the U23 title, beating compatriot Merhawi Kurdus and the Rwandan Janvier Hadi .

Among women, however, the South African Ashleigh Moolman won both the road race the time trial, while Eritrea has won two medals with Wehazit Kidane , silver in the time trial and bronze medal in the road race. (Software translation from Italian)
